Original watercolor and ink painting of a mushroom on handmade textured cotton rag paper by Papeterie Saint-Armand. Approximately 4" x 5" with a deckled edge for a natural aesthetic.
Aspen Bolete (Leccinum) has an orange-brown cap, yellowish tubes, and a white stipe accentuated with dark scabers that bruise blueish. They're weighty, sculptural mushrooms, making them a joy to find in my opinion. The illustration is based on a specimen found in Colorado.
